South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has today launched the new facelift model of its famous SUV Hyundai Alcazar for sale in the Indian market. Equipped with attractive looks and powerful engine, this SUV has been introduced with both petrol and diesel engine options. The starting price of the petrol variant of the new Alcazar has been fixed at Rs 14.99 lakh and the diesel variant at Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company claims that many major changes have been made in this SUV which makes it better than the previous model.

Hyundai Alcazar was first introduced in the Indian market by the company about 3 years ago in the year 2021. This car of the mid-size SUV segment made a lot of headlines after coming into the market. Now its facelift has been launched in the market. The company has introduced it in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. Major changes are seen in its exterior, interior and features.

Booking started:

The company has introduced the new Alcazar in a total of four trims. Which includes Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature. Its official booking has been started. Interested customers can book it through the company’s official website and authorized dealership at a token amount of Rs 25,000. So let’s see how the new Hyundai Alcazar is-

Look and Design:

Hyundai has given most of the cosmetic updates on the face of the new Alcazar. Compared to the outgoing model, the Alcazar facelift has been given H-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRL) which are connected with a light bar. Apart from this, a large grille with vertical slats has been given in the front. The bumper has a large central air intake which is surrounded by a silver trim. This gives a chunky look to the front face.

There are not many changes in terms of size profile, but it has been given new 18-inch alloy wheels and function roof rails. At the rear, new full-width tail lamps have been given a large H motif. Which may remind you of the recently launched Venue. Additionally, silver highlights on the bumper give it a sporty look.

Colour Options:

The Alcazar facelift will be available in a total of 9 exterior colours, eight of which are monotone. The monotone options include Titan Grey Matte, Starry Night, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Robust Emerald Pearl, Robust Emerald Matte and Fiery Red. Of these, the last three colours are seen for the first time in the Alcazar. In dual-tone, only Atlas White option is available with Abyss Black roof.

How is the cabin:

The same dashboard has been used in the cabin of Hyundai Alcazar as you get in Creta facelift. It has a 10.25 inch dual screen. One of these is for infotainment and the other is given as a digital instrument cluster. It has a dual-tone tan and dark color scheme. Which gives a premium feel to the cabin.

The biggest update in the cabin is in the second row. Hyundai has removed the fixed centre console that was placed between the captain seats in the pre-facelift model. This frees up more space between the seats as they now get separate armrests and one can easily move from the second row to the third row.

The second-row captain seats now also get extendable thigh support, ventilation function and a ‘Boss Mode’ feature where the front passenger seat can be operated from the rear to provide more space. You also get rear sunshades and fold-out tray tables.

Power and performance:

Hyundai Alcazar comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. It has a 1.5 liter turbo petrol and a 1.5 liter diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 160hp of power and 253Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (optional).

The 1.5 liter diesel engine generates 116hp of power and 250Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. Both variants come with front wheel drive configuration. It also has traction control modes (sand, mud and ice).

You get these features:

The company has included Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) suite in this SUV to further improve its safety. The company claims that it has more than 70 safety features. It has features like 6 airbags, voice activated panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, power driver and passenger seat, ventilated front seat, wireless charging port, leather upholstery, BOSE sound system, dual zone climate control, rain sensing wipers, sequential turn indicators, on-board navigation, 360-degree camera and electronic stability control.
