Hundreds of thumb clones made of rubber were found here, the SDO who conducted the raid expressed the suspicion of a big scam

A case of fraud by cloning thumb impressions has come to light in an institute that provides skill development training to women in Ramgarh. Here, the government machinery was being duped by copying fingerprints. Ramgarh district SDO Ashish Gangwar has revealed this case after conducting a raid at the institute.

Skill development of women was being done under the Birsa scheme under the Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana at Veer Subhash Chandra Bose Seva Sansthan located in Kuju of Ramgarh district. Women were given training in various fields including nursing, sewing, computer, parlor etc.

Several thumb clones made of rubber recovered
The fingerprints of the women undergoing training at the institute were cloned on thumbs made of rubber. The thumbs of all the women at the institute were cloned and kept. The institute had assured those women that if you remain absent, your attendance will be made using this identity linked to the biometric system.

The institute was sealed
When Ramgarh SDO Ashish Gangwar got this information, he immediately raided the institute. He was also stunned to see the scene there during the raid. Hundreds of rubber thumbs i.e. thumb clones were lying in the institute in large numbers. The SDO seized all the suspicious items found in the office and sealed the institute.

Fear of misuse of biometrics
In this case, SDO Ashish Gangwar said that the owner of the company, Govind Singh, is a resident of Aurangabad district of Bihar state. Manager Divya Jaiswal is a resident of Jamshedpur. The role of both of them is quite suspicious. He also said that in the preliminary investigation, it is being speculated that through this fraud, an attempt is being made to misuse the biometric information of the citizens and to take advantage of other government schemes and commit corruption.

the possibility of a major embezzlement
According to the SDO, there is a possibility of embezzlement of government funds due to this fraud. Under the Chief Minister Sarathi Yojana, youth are given free training. There is also a provision to give unemployment allowance if employment is not found after completion of training. Here it seems that the attendance of those youth was being recorded at the center through fingerprint clone who were not regularly present in the institute. Further investigation is going on in this regard.
