Human Trafficking: 16 minor girls were being taken to Bihar in the name of online marketing training, RPF did this rescue

Sixteen minor girls were rescued by the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) from the railway station in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. All of them were being taken to Bihar on the pretext of imparting training in an online marketing company. However, the two accused who took them all fled from the spot. The police have started searching for them.

Giving information about the entire matter, Surendra Kumar, Sub Inspector of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and in-charge of Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), said that during patrolling at the railway station, a man and a woman aged between 14 to 17 years were arrested. Seen with 16 girls.

According to Sub Inspector Surendra Kumar, after this the team stopped him and interrogated him. When interrogated, both the man and the woman could not give any satisfactory answer and later suddenly ran away from the spot. He told that after this RPF has handed over the children to Childline.

Childline coordinator Ashish Mishra further said in this matter that a woman from Deoria was taking him to Bihar on the pretext of giving him training in an online marketing company. He told that all the girls were from rural areas of the district and their parents had agreed to take their children for training, after which he felt that they could get jobs.

Ashish Mishra further said that Rs 1300-1300 were also given to the parents of those children for training. He told that the consent letter given by the parents is not valid, because they are minors and it is illegal to make them work.

According to Ashish Mishra, all those girls will be presented before the Juvenile Justice Board and after that they will be handed over to their parents. However, the police is investigating further in this matter.
