October 15, 2024: Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson to Star in Upcoming Musical Song Shenglandirected by Craig Brewer for Focus Features.
The film was inspired by the true story of two musicians who formed a Neil Diamond tribute band, as shown in a 2008 documentary Song Shenglan Author: Greg Koss. The film follows their love, resilience, and journey to pursue their dreams even when life seems to be stacked against them.
The cast also includes Michael Imperioli, Fisher Stevens, Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir and Hudson Hill Burt Hensley. The film is produced by John Davis and John Fox of Davis Entertainment, with Erica Hampson and Kos serving as executive producers.
Jackman recently deadpool and wolverineand other exciting projects on the horizon, including a concert series at Radio City Music Hall in 2025, Three Bags Full: The Sheep Detective Movieand death of robin hood. Meanwhile, Kate Hudson will star Run pointsis a basketball-themed comedy series created by Mindy Kaling, who will play the president of a major basketball team.
