Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate Design, the world’s first tri-fold smartphone, went on sale in China on Friday, alongside Apple’s iPhone 16 series smartphones, which are now available in global markets such as India. However, Chinese customers hoping to buy Huawei’s new foldable phone were reportedly disappointed as the company only sold the phone to customers who had confirmed pre-orders, suggesting that the Mate XT Ultimate Design may be available in China on a limited basis.

Consumers in Shenzhen and Beijing were dismayed to find on Friday that they could not buy the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, which is only available to customers with confirmed pre-orders from the smartphone maker, Reuters reported.
