How much possibility is there still for an alliance between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress?

However, after the release of the list of 29 candidates by AAP, it is understood that now there is no alliance with Congress in Haryana. But politics is a game of infinite possibilities. According to the Congress party, there is still hope for an alliance and the talks are not over yet. Congress sources said that Aam Aadmi Party has the right to release its list but talks on alliance are still going on. Congress’s Haryana in-charge Deepak Babaria is unwell, so the talks have been stopped for a while. They are not over. Congress says that whatever decision AAP has taken is their one-sided decision, from our side the possibility of alliance is still intact. The last date for filing nominations is 12 September, which means there are still two days left. But those who want an agreement between the two parties are running out of time.

1-Congress needs you

It cannot be denied that Congress needs the support of Aam Aadmi Party to defeat Bharatiya Janata Party. If we consider the Lok Sabha elections as an example, BJP was ahead in 44 assembly seats while Congress had a lead in 42 seats. Aam Aadmi Party was ahead in about 4 seats. In this way, to remove BJP from power in the state, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party will have to come together. Because if Aam Aadmi Party contests the elections separately, then it is certain that Congress will lose some seats. Because if the anti-BJP votes get divided, Congress will only suffer. Since all the assembly seats in the state are very small and a few thousand votes can make or break the game, therefore Congress will have to show generosity. If Aam Aadmi Party contests the elections on 90 seats, then Congress may have to face trouble.

2- Aam Aadmi Party has a chance to take revenge from BJP

Most of the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi are in jail or going to jail in corruption cases. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself has been in jail for many months. Politics says that in such a situation, Aam Aadmi Party should give unconditional support to Congress to defeat Bharatiya Janata Party. If Aam Aadmi Party does not support Congress due to its ambition, then the possibility of Bharatiya Janata Party coming to power in the state will increase once again. Obviously, if BJP becomes strong in Haryana, then it will become morally strong enough to send some more leaders of Aam Aadmi Party to jail on corruption charges. Aam Aadmi Party knows very well that it is not going to get success in Haryana. But the party also knows that if it fields candidates on 90 seats, then Congress is sure to be defeated. Therefore, this is being taken as a threat from Aam Aadmi Party. It is understood that finally if Congress increases some more seats, then there will be agreement on alliance.

3-Just like Akhilesh Yadav showed generosity in UP, Congress can also do the same

Congress is facing a do or die situation. BJP could not get the expected success in the Lok Sabha elections. But if BJP succeeds in forming the government again in the state assembly elections, then it will be said that the success that Congress got was like a cat’s luck breaking the pot. Another thing is that if Congress wants to capture power in Delhi, then it will have to show generosity towards its allies. On the basis on which Congress is talking about giving seats to Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana, if Samajwadi Party had made a formula in UP on the same basis, then Congress would not have got 17 seats. Therefore, it is right that Congress should show generosity. Aam Aadmi Party should be given at least that many seats that it feels respected.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is probably in favour of this alliance for these reasons so that a strong message can be given to the BJP, but the local leadership of Haryana Congress like the leader of opposition in the state Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Randeep Singh Surjewala etc. are not in favour of giving any space to AAP.
