A series of pager explosions occurred in parts of Lebanon and Syria on Tuesday. The explosions in the pagers continued for about an hour. While someone’s pager exploded in his pocket, someone else’s pager exploded in his hand. Screams and cries were heard everywhere. The Lebanese extremist group Hezbollah believes that Israel is responsible for the attack. Now it is claimed that the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad installed explosives in the pagers five months ago. In this case, people began to question the role played by this Taiwanese company in the whole incident.

According to the New York Times, Israel installed explosives in these pagers as part of a Mossad intelligence operation against Hezbollah. Hezbollah ordered about 3,000 pagers from a Taiwanese company called Gold Apollo. But the pagers were tampered with before they arrived in Lebanon. The pagers were sent from Taiwan to Lebanon between April and May this year. It seems that the plot for this attack was carried out several months ago.

According to U.S. officials, the pagers were AP924 models from a Taiwanese company. Each of the pagers shipped from Taiwan to Lebanon was loaded with one to two ounces of explosives placed next to the batteries installed in the pagers.
According to reports, a message was received on the pagers at 3:30 pm in Lebanon. The message activated the explosives installed in the pagers.

Allegedly, a beeping sound was heard for a few seconds before the pager exploded. According to sources, Mossad actually injected a small plate inside the pager that contained explosives. This explosive would be difficult to detect with any equipment or scanner.

Mossad planted PETN explosives in pagers

According to Sky News Arabia, Israeli intelligence agency Mossad has planted PETN in Hezbollah’s pagers. This is actually an explosive that is used in pager batteries. These pagers are detonated by the increase in battery temperature. This explosive weighs less than 20 grams.

Mossad has carried out such attacks before

Israel has carried out similar attacks before. According to David Kennedy, a former US national security intelligence analyst, Israel planted 15 grams of RDX explosives in the mobile phone of Hamas leader Yahya Ayyash in 1996 to assassinate him. When he called his father, the device exploded.
