Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first budget of Modi Government 3.0 on Tuesday. Many types of announcements were made in the budget. It has also been promised to provide internship to 1 crore youth. Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the government will give internship to 1 crore youth in 500 top companies. The opposition is raising questions regarding this. In a special conversation with Aaj Tak, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman spoke in detail on this and hit back at Congress.
Actually, the opposition is claiming that giving internship to 1 crore youth in top 500 companies through PM Internship Program will mean internship to 4 thousand youth in every company. How will it be possible for every company to hire 4 thousand youth as interns? Also the opposition is criticizing that they are not giving jobs, they are only giving internships. In response to these allegations, the Finance Minister said that who is going to say that we will give the right to apprenticeship or internship? Congress. Meaning, in order to mislead the youth, you asked for the right to apprenticeship during the election campaign. According to this logic, you were not giving a job to do Jumrah but you were giving the right to apprenticeship.

Youth will benefit greatly from internship: Finance Minister
He said that the company does not have just one building. The top 500 companies of the country have many plants in big cities of the country. We plan every scheme by sitting with the industry. Only after this we have made this announcement. Top 500 companies have huge turnover and have many offices. We will give five thousand rupees per month to the youth who intern in companies. Companies just have to give opportunities to the youth and teach them. When the youth get the opportunity, after 12 months they will get a certificate that they have learned work in one of the top 500 companies. After this they will get a huge advantage in getting a job.
‘There are jobs but the youth are not ready for them’
The Finance Minister said that for example, let me tell you that a few days ago, the Chief of the country’s biggest infra company L&T said that they have 45 thousand jobs, but they are not finding suitable youth for the skills required for the job. We are preparing the youth for such skills. After internship, these youth will get a chance to work in many companies. They will have information about which company is right according to the training they have taken.

What did the Finance Minister say on giving importance to states with allies?
On the allegations of giving more importance to Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, the states ruled by NDA’s allies JDU and TDP, in the general budget, Nirmala Sitharaman said that I want to ask the other states that if there is one state in India which has They don’t even have a capital till date, so is it a crime to help them? If there was a UPA government today, would it have denied this to Andhra Pradesh? The right has been given in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act that you should have a capital. The central government will help for that. Will the UPA government deny this? According to the law that partition took place in India, should there not be a capital in that state? What argument are these people making? Will the country move forward or not?
He said that I thought that through this election, just as the party is elected by the public through votes to form the government, in the same way the opposition has also been really elected this time. Meaning, with 50 seats you are probably not able to present the issues in Parliament with strength, so take 40 more seats. Still the public did not let him cross 100. Will you play the role of a strong opposition or just keep doing gimmicks?
Nirmala Sitharaman said this regarding the budget speeches of the UPA government
On allegations like fighting in Delhi and Lucknow and taking revenge after loss in Maharashtra, the Finance Minister said that this is wrong propaganda. Yesterday, when Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge was speaking in the Rajya Sabha, I also replied to him. Was the amount and projects to be given to each state mentioned in the budget speech at the time of Congress? I challenge you to take out all his speeches and watch them. Was the budget of the states which were not mentioned in his speeches stopped? It was not stopped then and it is not stopped even now. They (opposition) do not have to tell the truth. Just making baseless allegations. We are working in all the states without taking names. Like Vadavan Port Maharashtra was mentioned in Rajya Sabha, but the name of the state was not taken in the vote on account. So this does not mean that there will be no work there. When we were sitting in the opposition, we never asked the Congress why the names of Tamil Nadu or Jammu and Kashmir did not come up. We thought that the money would go. If there is any important issue then ask a question. They are raising questions about what it means that they are not doing anything for our state. This country is not ours?
On the announcement of boycott of the NITI Aayog meeting by the opposition parties, the Finance Minister said that they are leaving a good opportunity. Come and sit in the meeting.
