The Bombay High Court posed tough questions to the police during the Maharashtra hearing on the Badlapur incident. During the hearing, the High Court asked how the bullet struck the defendant’s head and where police were trained to shoot. The court further said that they (police) should have shot in the hand or leg.

During the trial, the High Court judge said: “There are four police officers in the back. How could they not control a weak person who was also in the back of the car.” There were two police officers in front of the defendant and two police officers next to him.

Judge Chavan said during the hearing, “Pistols should be fingerprinted and washed.” Is that done? Present everything at your next appointment. According to you, he fired 3 times but only hit 1 time. Where are the other 2? Is it a direct fire at the police or a ricochet shot? What injuries did the officer suffer? Piercing or brushing?

During the hearing, Justice Chavan said it was hard to believe. This requires strength. At first glance something seems wrong. Ordinary people cannot shoot a gun because it requires strength. Weak people cannot do this because using a revolver is not easy.
