A round of accusations is being made after a scuffle broke out between ruling and opposition lawmakers inside the parliament building. The BJP blamed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for the incident. Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Haq said Prime Minister Modi made the BJP MPs armed with sticks and placards and asked them to push to stop the Indian Union MPs.

“After seriously insulting Dr. Ambedkar, PM Modi also asked us to disrespect the dignity of Parliament,” Haq wrote on of peaceful protest. That way his ill will towards Dr Ambedkar, Parliament, the Constitution and democracy would not be exposed. But we will stand firm and will not tolerate condemnatory remarks against Ambedkar. Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla claiming that the PPP MP pushed him near the Makkar Gate of Parliament House, causing him to lose his balance and be forced to sit on the ground. He also urged an investigation into the matter as it was an attack not only on him but also on the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons and the President of the Congress Party.

When I arrived in Makadua along with opposition MPs, the BJP MP pushed me. I lost my balance and was forced to sit on the ground in front of Makha Deva.
