Hot Yoga instructor did not allow the student not to drink water in class

A hot yoga instructor in the US has been dismissed after scolding a student in his class to try to take a sip of water very quickly during a session. A 29 -year -old affected Roma Abdeselam said on social media to inform about the incident, saying that she was taking a class at Bod Studio in New York City when she suddenly became thirsty.

As he dropped his yoga posture and leaned down to take a bottle of water to take a sip, the instructor, who is only identified as Irena, stopped her. According to Ms. Abdeselam, Irena threatened and called her in front of everyone.

“Is this normal?” Ms. Abdsalem asked in the video, saying: “I was in the classroom and I went to take a sip of my water from my mat and the instructor calls me, calls me in front of everyone and it is, ‘It’s not time to drink water. I will tell you when you have time to drink water. You want to drink water. When you want to drink water.”

Lobo Plmondon said that the instructor no longer works in the studio. And while Abdsalem is not necessarily expelled to the teacher, he is not convinced by his explanation, either.

“Just because it is always how something has been done. It does not mean that it needs to continue,” he said.

Reacting to the video, Bode NYC founder Jane Lobo Plumondon said the instructor no longer worked with him as his behavior did not align with the standards of the studio.

The instructor answers

In response to the allegations, Irena said that she did not command Ms. Abdeselam with drinking water, but instead asked her to ‘try to avoid’ by appointed time.

“I thought it was said innocent,” he told new York Times“This was my invitation, not an order, not a royal command.”

“You are seeing in this new era, it is very difficult to tell young people to tell what to do,” he said.

In particular, in Bikram Yoga, usually referred to as hot yoga, instructors discourage students with drinking water until they reach the eagle pose, in about half an hour. Perminets claim that drinking water disrupts early heat and reduces body temperature, resulting in low flexibility, discomfort, or nasal.
