Honor 200 Lite 5G with AI-powered MagicOS 8.0 launched in India: Check price

Honor 200 Lite 5G was launched in India on Thursday. The phone comes with a 108-megapixel triple rear camera and a 50-megapixel selfie camera. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset and a 4,500mAh battery. You also get a 35W wired fast charger. The phone runs MagicOS 14 based on Android 8.0, which offers several AI features that are said to enhance the user experience. This smartphone joins the Honor 200 5G and Honor 200 Pro 5G phones that were launched in India in July.

Honor 200 Lite 5G Price in India, Availability

The Honor 200 Lite 5G is priced at Rs 17,999 in India, only for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The phone will go on sale in the country at 12 am IST on September 27 via Amazon, Explore Honor website, and select mainline stores.

The company announced in a press release that SBI customers can avail an instant discount of Rs 2,000 on the purchase of the Honor 200 Lite 5G, bringing the effective price down to Rs 15,999. As part of Amazon’s Great Indian Festival 2024, Honor is also offering Amazon Prime members a 24-hour advance opportunity to purchase the phone, starting at 12 am IST on September 26.

The Honor 200 Lite 5G is available in three colours – Lake Cyan, Midnight Black, and Starry Blue.

The Honor 200 Lite 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2,412 x 1,080 pixels) AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, a PWM dimming rate of 3,240Hz, and TÜV Rheinland flicker-free support. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The RAM can be virtually expanded to an additional 8GB.

Out of the box, it runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. The phone has many AI features such as MagicLM, Magic Portal, Magic Capsule, Magic Lock Screen, and Parallel Spaces. Honor launched the new operating system equipped with a four-layer AI architecture in January this year.

As far as optics are concerned, the Honor 200 Lite 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera of the phone uses a 50-megapixel sensor.

Honor has equipped the 200 Lite 5G with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 35W wired fast charging. The phone comes with a charger. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, OTG, and USB Type-C port. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and has an SGS 5-star drop-proof certification. It measures 161.05 x 74.55 x 6.78 mm and weighs 166 grams.
