Congress seeks resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over violence in Manipur. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the situation in Manipur has not improved. Our demand is that the country’s interior minister should resign. Jairam Ramesh told a press conference that Manipur has been burning since May 3. Prime Minister Modi has been to all places except Manipur but not to Manipur.

Ramesh said our first demand is that Prime Minister Modi visit Manipur before the Parliament session. Meet all parties there. Understand social organizations. Head to the rescue camp. Also met a party delegation from Manipur. Meanwhile, our second demand is that Prime Minister Modi should convene an all-party meeting on the Manipur issue. The Congress general secretary said that Manipur will no longer have a full-time governor from July 31, 2024.

Why Home Minister Wants to Rescue Failed CM – Congress

Before that, there was a distinguished female tribal governor. Why she was dismissed reflects her mentality. Over the past eighteen months, Prime Minister Modi seems to have handed over Manipur to the Home Minister. Why is the Home Minister turning a blind eye to the failure of the Manipur Chief Minister? BJP MLAs are resigning, but the home minister is bailing out the failed CM.

We also demand that if the BJP and the central government really want to take action against the drug mafia, then why is the case pending? The National Investigation Agency (NIA) was approached for help, but nothing happened.
