The incident in Udaipur has shocked the entire country. A student studying in class 10 was attacked with a knife by another student studying in the same school. After the incident, the atmosphere of the city deteriorated and arson and vandalism started taking place at many places. The miscreants set many cars on fire. In view of the situation, the police have imposed Section 144 and internet service has also been closed till 10 pm on Saturday night. The administration has issued orders to keep all (private and government) schools and colleges closed till further orders.
Action will be taken against those who disobey the instructions
In the order to keep schools and colleges closed, it is said, ‘Holiday is declared in all government/non-government schools from class 1 to 12 and in all government/non-government colleges from 17.08.2024 till further orders.’ It has been said in the order that action will be taken as per rules against schools/colleges that disobey the instructions.
Condition of injured student critical
The incident took place at the Government Higher Secondary School located at Bhattiyani Chauhatta of Surajpol police station area of the city. It has been told that the condition of the student injured in the attack is very critical and he has been shifted to ICU. A team of doctors is continuously monitoring him.
There is tension in Udaipur after the incident. Police forces have been deployed at various places to prevent any kind of non-violence. The District Collector, who reached the spot on Friday, appealed to the people to maintain peace. According to the information, there was a fight between the two students over some issue.

After this, a student of a particular community attacked another student with a knife and injured him. After the news of the injured child came out, a large number of people from Hindu organizations gathered and started creating ruckus. The reason for the fight is not clear yet.
It is being told that a large number of people from Hindu organizations are gathered in the hospital and are demanding strict action. Additional SP Umesh Ojha said that the police is investigating the matter in depth. Initial investigation reveals that there is an old enmity between the two.
Some vehicles have also been set on fire in Ashwini Bazaar. In about half a dozen areas of Udaipur, miscreants set vehicles on fire. Police have used mild force to disperse the crowd.
