Speaking at the inauguration of Hindu Seva Mahotsav at Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that Hinduism is eternal. Service to humanity is the greatest religion of Hinduism. Hindu Seva Mahotsav is organized by Hindu Spiritual Services, Pune, at the university premises at Shikshan Prasarak Mandali. The festival will last until December 22nd. Mohan Bhagwat spoke on the occasion. Information about Hindu culture, customs and social services will be provided during the festival. Service work in many temples, societies, religious organizations, monasteries and temples across Maharashtra is a part of this festival.

Sasancharak said one should stay away from public attention while serving humanity. Those who serve, they desire to serve continuously without showing off. While following the Dharma of service, we should not become extremists. The religion of mankind is the world’s religion. It should be reflected in the spirit of service. He said Hinduism emphasizes world peace, but it is also important to look after minorities.

Expect things only as needed

Dr Mohan Bhagwat said that we have to do whatever is necessary for livelihood but we should also double our services accordingly. We should feel like the world is our protector, not something for our consumption.

On the occasion, Shikshan Prasarak Mandali Chairman Advocate SK Jain, Vice Chairman Shri Krishna Chitale, Hindu Seva Mahotsav Chairman Krishna Kumar Goyal, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Astrologer Labhesh Muni Maharaj, Gaurang Prabhu of ISKCON, Hindu spiritual service organization Gunwant National Convener Kothari was present among others.
