Hindu temple celebrated Ram Navami with a grand festival in Abu Dhabi

The world famous father Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi celebrated Rama Navami and Swaminarayan Jayanti with immense dedication and grandeur, marking a historical moment for cultural and spiritual harmony in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A statement mentions that devotees from all over the region gathered in the temple to participate in a series of devotion and cultural programs.

According to the temple’s chief priest Pujya Brahmavihari Swamy, a full day of the festival was held, which started with Ram hymns from 9 am to 12 noon, followed by Shri Ram Janmotsav Aarti at 12 noon.

“The ceremonies saw a huge voting of devotees and visitors, who were united in dedication to Lord Rama and Lord Swaminarayan. This spiritual gathering served as a beak of peace, unity, and eternal Hindu values, which echoes across the boundaries,” the statement said.

One of the main attraction of the event was a special cultural presentation by BAPS on a platform, meeting the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Through music, drama and story, young artists brought the audience to life, bringing the divine and inspiring life of Lord Ram*to life.

Ram Navami is a Hindu festival that celebrates Lord Ram’s birth – one of the most popular revered deities in Hinduism.

Lord Rama is also known as the seventh ‘avatar’ of Vishnu.

Rama Navami comes on the ninth day of ‘Shukla Paksha’ of the Chandra Chakra of ‘Chaitra’ (March-April), which is the last month in the Hindu calendar.
