Hindu saint not happy with Mohan Bhagwat’s claims, says Swami Rambhadracharya

Jagaguru Swami Ramabhadracharya

Amid the temple-mosque dispute in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhar, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s statement by Mohan Bhagwat has sparked widespread discussion. Meanwhile, Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya took exception to the RSS chief’s statement. He disagreed with his statement. In fact, Sangh leaders have said that after Ram Mandir, some people thought that by raising such issues they would become leaders of Hindus.

Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya said: “I totally disagree with Mohan Bhagwat’s statement. Let me make it clear that Mohan Bhagwat is not our disciplinarian but we are. Meanwhile, Jyotishpeeth’s Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand criticized Mohan Bhagwat and accused him of making the statement out of political convenience. He said that when Bhagwat wanted to gain power, he used to visit the temple and now after gaining power, he advised not to go to the temple.

Delivering a speech on the theme ‘India-Vishwaguru’ in Pune, Bhagwat said that we have been living in harmony for a long time. If we want to offer this kind of kindness to the world, we need to create a model. After the Rama temple was built, some people felt that they could become leaders of Hindus by raising similar questions in new places. This is unacceptable.

Proper religious education should be given – Bhagwat

Meanwhile, addressing the centenary celebrations of Mahanubhava Ashram in Amravati, Maharashtra, the Sangh president said religion is important and should be given proper education as the importance of religion Incorrect and incomplete knowledge leads to injustice. All the oppression and atrocities that occur in the name of religion around the world are actually caused by misunderstanding and ignorance of religion. The religion has always existed and everything works according to it, that’s why it is called Sanatan. To practice religion is to protect it.

Comments on the temple vs. mosque debate

Bhagwat’s remarks came after several petitions were filed across the country claiming that mosques were built on Hindu temples. Violent clashes erupted recently during a similar court-ordered inquiry into a mosque in Sambhar, Uttar Pradesh.
