Seasonal snowfall has already begun in mountain states. Tourists from Kashmir to Himachal Pradesh are enjoying the snowfall. Winters are getting harsher after snowfall in Himachal Pradesh. Temperatures have dropped significantly in the state, with the weather department predicting snowfall again in the coming days.
Rahul Spiti’s taboo is the coldest place
Lowest temperatures were three to five degrees below normal in much of the state on Tuesday, with some areas seeing light snow. Thabo in the Lahaul-Spiti tribal district is the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh with a minimum temperature of -12.7 degrees. The local meteorological center said that Khadrala, Koksar (Lahaul-Spiti) and Kalpa of Shimla received 2.0 cm, 0.5 cm and 0.2 cm of snowfall respectively. Light rain and snowfall occurred in parts of the state over the past 24 hours, but the weather remained dry in most areas.
What’s the weather like tomorrow?
The weather department said that except for light rain and snowfall on December 12, the weather will remain dry in Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur districts and upper reaches of Kangra for the next seven days.
Bus services disrupted on several routes in Upper Shimla
Ground frost is possible in isolated areas in the central and alpine hilly areas of the state until December 12. On the other hand, snowfall occurred again in other high mountain areas of Khirki, Kharapathar and Chaupal in Shimla district last night. As a result, buses could not ply to Choppal on Tuesday morning. Traffic was also affected due to slippery roads in Khadapathar. Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling on snowy roads.
