The Allahabad High Court has canceled the adjustment of basic teachers in UP. The Lucknow Bench of the High Court has issued this order. The court stated that the error should be rectified by stopping all activities in the adjustment process. The court held that the rules implemented during the restructuring of the basic education sector violated the provisions of Articles 14 and 16. About 80% of the state’s schools are directly affected. A large number of educational undertakings have been affected by the adjustment process.
The High Court said the department’s “last come, first out” transfer policy was arbitrary. The government order dated June 26, 2024 and the notification of the Department of Basic Education dated June 28, 2024 were termed as discriminatory against junior teachers.
Students to hold candle march in Nehru Vihar
On the other hand, students will hold a candle march in Delhi’s Nehru Vihar on November 8 to protest against the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s decision on UPPCS-2024 and RO-ARO recruitment.
