Hero Xtreme 160R: New bike launched with sporty look and great safety features, the price is this much

The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has updated its vehicle portfolio and launched the new motorcycle Hero Xtreme 160R in a completely new avatar. The company has made some cosmetic changes in this bike which make it even better than the previous model. The starting price of this bike has been fixed at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom).

Let us tell you that in June last year, the company launched Xtreme 160R with new up-side-down (USD) telescopic fork and new features. Apart from oil cooling system, the company has given premium LED lighting setup in this new bike. This bike has been specially designed keeping the youth in mind. The company hopes that the new Xtreme 160R will perform better in its segment.

Price increased with update:

The company has equipped this bike with dual channel anti-lock braking system (ABS). Along with this, the price of the bike has also increased by approximately Rs 2,000 compared to the previous model. Hero MotoCorp has introduced this bike in a new color which has been named Kevlar Brown. The color combination of black and bronze makes this bike more beautiful.

In Xtreme 160R, the company has used a single cylinder oil cooled engine of 163 cc capacity. Which generates power of 16.6 bhp and torque of 14.6 Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission gearbox. In the market it competes with bikes like TVS Apache and Honda Hornet. There has been no change in the size, it is the same as before.

The company has worked on the safety of this bike. Panic brake alert feature is being provided for the first time in the segment. Apart from this, features like dual channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), fully digital reverse LCD instrument cluster, drag race time (for the first time in the segment) have been provided. Regarding the speedometer provided in it, the company says that its brightness has been increased to 300 percent so that you will be able to easily read the information given on it even in daylight.

17 inch alloy wheels have been provided at the front and rear of the bike. Apart from this, 276 mm disc brake has been provided at the front and 220 mm disc brake at the rear. Based on tubular underbone diamond type frame, the total weight of this motorcycle is 146 kg. Apart from this, the company says that the seat of its pillar rider (rear passenger) has also been improved.
