During the trailer launch of his action-packed web series Castle: Honey BunnyVarun revealed that he had approached the producer Aditya Chopra Put him in an action movie. However, Aditya turned him down, explaining that Varun was “unfit” to give him such a big budget for his action project.

Varun recalls one specific conversation during the lockdown, when he met Aditya Chopra and asked him to make an action film with young actors. Aditya is researching Tiger 3 Maneesh Sharma at the time explained that Varun was not yet able to handle the budget required for a big action film. Varun even asked Aditya about the actual budget, and Aditya provided a figure, making it clear that such projects require significant financial support.
