There is turmoil in Bangladesh. The protesters are also targeting Hindus there. In such a situation, Hindus living in Bangladesh have gathered on the other side of the barbed wire in Cooch Behar district on the India-Bangladesh border. In view of the situation, soldiers of 157 battalion of BSF have been deployed in the area.

Let us tell you that Hindus living in Bangladesh have gathered in Genduguri and Daikhwa villages of Gaibanda district, about 400 meters away from the barbed wires. These people have been standing since Friday morning. On the other hand, in Cooch Behar, adequate number of BSF personnel have been deployed in Pathantuli village of Sheetalkuchi near the barbed wires and continuous patrolling is being done. BSF personnel are keeping a strict vigil.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that in view of the ongoing situation in Bangladesh, the Modi government has constituted a committee to monitor the current situation on the India-Bangladesh Border (IBB). This committee will maintain communication channels with its counterpart authorities in Bangladesh to ensure the safety of Indian citizens, Hindus and other minority communities living there. This committee will be headed by ADG, Border Security Force, Eastern Command.
