The alleged incident of helicopter theft in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has become a hot topic on social media. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised questions on law and order regarding this matter. However, after police investigation, it was said to be a mere case of misunderstanding.

According to the agency, the police said that pilot Ravindra Singh of SAR Aviation Service Private Limited had lodged a complaint. It was alleged that his firm’s helicopter had been stolen. Ravindra Singh claimed that in May some people had loaded the helicopter in a truck and taken it away. When he talked to those people about this, they beat him up.

After this complaint, this matter became a headline on social media. After this, Samajwadi Party chief and leader of opposition in UP assembly Akhilesh Yadav targeted the law and order of the state. He shared a post on his social media handle X, referring to the case of ‘helicopter theft’.

The former Chief Minister wrote on X, ‘Till now criminals in Uttar Pradesh were destroying the law and order of BJP through murder, loot, robbery and rape, but now news is coming of a helicopter being loaded on a truck and taken away in Meerut. This is also a question of airport security. What has happened there?’

After this post by Akhilesh Yadav, the police responded and said that Ravindra Singh had complained of theft. He did not know that the helicopter had been sold by SAR Aviation Service Private Limited to another firm.

Circle Officer Antariksh Jain said that investigation has revealed that the helicopter in question was sold by Ravindra Singh’s company to another firm. On the day of the alleged theft, the new owners had transported the helicopter by truck. Ravindra Singh was unaware of the sale of the helicopter. The new company did nothing wrong in this.

The police said that the allegations of assault and abuse leveled by Ravindra Singh were also not proved during the investigation. Earlier, Senior Superintendent of Police (Meerut) Vipin Tanda had said that this incident was not a case of theft but a dispute between two partners of the aviation company.

Ravindra Singh had lodged a complaint of theft in Partapur police station. According to the police, the complainant had claimed that some people had unauthorizedly taken away the helicopter parked at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar airstrip. The helicopter was loaded into a truck and taken away.

What did the company say in this entire matter?

Called the number listed on the aviation company’s website. On the call, Captain GC Pandey, who identified himself as the director of SAR Aviation Service Private Limited, said, “I don’t know how all this started. There is no security lapse in this.”

Regarding Ravindra Singh’s complaint, Pandey said that he is not aware of it. I do not know anything. As far as Ravindra Singh is concerned, he is no longer in our company. GC Pandey said that the helicopter about which so much talk has taken place was sold in 2023 itself.
