Haryana Governor has issued a notification to dissolve the assembly after the recommendation of the cabinet. According to this, CM Naib Singh Saini will remain the caretaker Chief Minister till the next government is formed. Actually, before the elections to be held on October 5 in Haryana, the cabinet had approved the dissolution of the assembly. After this, the cabinet also recommended the Governor to dissolve the Haryana Assembly.

The Haryana Cabinet had recommended the dissolution of the Haryana Assembly to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. The Governor has accepted this recommendation and has also issued a notification to dissolve the Assembly. It says, “Using the powers conferred on me by sub-section (b) of clause (2) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor Haryana, hereby dissolve the Assembly with immediate effect.”

Know why CM Saini will dissolve the cabinet

The last session of the Haryana Assembly was called on March 13. Constitutionally, it is necessary to call an assembly session once in six months. Therefore, it is necessary for the government to call a meeting of the House by September 12. In such a situation, to avoid this constitutional crisis, the Chief Minister will have to recommend the Governor to dissolve the Assembly. There should not be a gap of more than six months between two sessions of the Assembly.

Voting will be held in a single phase in Haryana

Let us tell you that voting will be held in a single phase for 90 seats of Haryana Assembly. The Election Commission had earlier announced voting for Haryana on October 1. The results were to come on October 4. Along with this, the dates for elections were also announced in Jammu and Kashmir. Here too the results were to come on October 4. But now the commission has changed the dates.

The term of Haryana Assembly is going to end on 3 November 2024. The last assembly elections were held in October 2019. After the elections, the alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party and Jannayak Janata Party formed the state government and Manohar Lal Khattar became the Chief Minister. However, later the equations changed and the party made Nayab Singh Saini the Chief Minister.
