Congress has released its third list of candidates, which includes many seats from Haryana. Earlier, the party had announced 41 candidates through two lists. Candidates were to be announced for a total of 49 seats, but there is still confusion on 9 seats and a decision on these is expected soon.
As a part of strategy, the party has announced the names of the candidates late to reduce the possibility of discontent and rebellion. The important thing is that Aditya Surjewala, son of senior Congress leader Randeep Surjewala, has been given a ticket from Kaithal.
The last date for filing nomination is September 12, so the names of the remaining candidates can also be announced soon.
