Hariyali Amavasya 2024: Today is Hariyali Amavasya. Hariyali Amavasya falls three days before Hariyali Teej. Hariyali Amavasya is considered very auspicious in Sanatan Dharma. It is said that worshiping the Ardhanarishwar form of Lord Shiva on this day brings unbroken good fortune. Apart from worshiping Mahadev on the day of Hariyali Amavasya, tree planting is also said to have special importance. On this day, some divine remedies related to trees and plants are considered very beneficial.
Do these divine remedies on Hariyali Amavasya
1. It is written in Bhavishya Purana that trees are children for childless people. Those who plant trees, their worldly and transcendental deeds are performed by the trees themselves. Therefore, those who do not have children must plant trees on this day.
2. To get relief from money related problems, worship Amla tree on Hariyali Amavasya and light a ghee lamp under the tree in the evening.
3. There is a tradition of worshiping the Neem tree on this day to have a child. It is believed that this also destroys diseases. By planting it on Hariyali Amavasya, Pitra Dosh gets calmed down.
4. According to the scriptures, all three gods i.e. Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva reside in the Peepal tree. Worshiping it on Hariyali Amavasya provides relief from the Mahadasha of Saturn.
5. Banyan tree is also called banyan tree. It is mentioned in the scriptures that worshiping it on Hariyali Amavasya brings unbroken good fortune. There is happiness and peace in the family.
6. Worshiping the Belpatra tree in Sawan destroys all sins. It is said that Belpatra tree should be worshiped on Amavasya Tithi.
