Due to torrential rains on Sunday in Gurugram, famously known as the Millennium City, the roads of the city turned into ponds due to waterlogging. Inundation in the colonies has created flood like conditions in many areas. After the rain, rivers of water were seen flowing on the roads everywhere.

Gurugram Police Lines, Bus Stand Road, Sheetla Mata Road, Narsinghpur Service Road, Basai Chowk, Khandsa, Sanjay Gram Road, Sohna Road and Subhash Chowk, Sectors 30, 31, 40, 45, 47, 51, 22, 23, 4. Due to waterlogging, traffic jams were also seen in many areas including 5, 12, 13 and 48 and vehicles and pedestrians had to wade through knee-deep water.

Due to continuous rain throughout the day in Gurugram on Sunday, there is a situation of heavy waterlogging in many areas of the city. Heavy waterlogging was seen in the Narsinghpur section of the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway and areas near Basai and Golf Course Extension Road. According to the update given by the district administration at 8 pm, 70 mm of rain was recorded in Gurugram during the day. Maximum rainfall of 108 mm was recorded in Wazirabad.

According to the district administration, Police Lines, Bus Stand Road, Sheetala Mata Road, Narsinghpur Service Road, Basai Chowk, Khandsa, Sanjay Gram Road, Sohna Road and Subhash Chowk, Sectors 30, 31, 40, 45, 47, 51, 22, Traffic jams were also seen due to waterlogging in many areas including 23, 4, 5, 12, 13 and 48. People walking on foot had to wade through knee-deep water.

According to officials, there was heavy congestion on the Delhi side National Highway (NH-48), Narsinghpur Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Vatika Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, Sohna Road, Basai, Khandsa Road and Pataudi Road. At the same time, the Municipal Corporation also did the work of draining water in many areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in many parts of Haryana today i.e. on August 12. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain at different places in Haryana till August 14. Let us tell you that there is a possibility of moderate rain along with heavy rain at different places in North India including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan till August 16.
