A student pursuing a PhD at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida has accused her dean of sexual harassment. The student alleged that the dean abused his position and sexually harassed her. The victim said that when she protested, the dean even threatened to ruin her career. The student’s sister has filed a complaint with the Ecotech One police station. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
The victim was pursuing a doctorate at Buddha University. The student’s sister accused the dean, saying that he had been sexually harassing her sister in the name of his position for a long time. In the complaint to the police, it was learned that his sister was going to Japan to attend a conference recently, but the dean abused his power and pressured her to do the wrong thing. When the victim refused, she was not allowed to attend the conference.

The student alleged that the dean put pressure on her colleague, a professor of mathematics. The university administration is also setting up a committee to investigate the matter based on the victim’s complaint. Apart from this, a complaint has also been received at the Ecotech 1 police station regarding the incident. The university administration said that they are taking the matter seriously and an investigation is underway.
The police registered a case and began investigating.
Additional DCP Greater Noida Ashok Kumar said that a complaint of sexual harassment has been filed against the faculty of Gautam Buddha University. Based on the complaint of the victim, the university has formed a committee to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, the victim has also filed a complaint with Ecotech 1 police station. The police have registered a case on the complaint and started investigating the matter.
