Eminem is about to start a new chapter in his life – becoming a grandfather. The legendary rapper shared the happy news via his latest music video for “Temporary,” a collaboration with Skylar Grey, which dropped Thursday. In the heartwarming video, Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade, 28, surprised her father by announcing she was expecting her first child.
In a touching moment in the video, Hailey – who is also a music artist and podcaster – hands Eminem a blue shirt that says “Grandpa” on the back. The scene cuts to Eminem holding an ultrasound photo, visibly shocked, while Hailey smiles and laughs at his reaction. The emotional revelation was paired with a montage of home videos from Hailey’s childhood, interspersed with footage from her recent wedding to husband Evan McClintock.
Eminem dedicated the song “Temporary” to Hailey, using the lyrics to reflect on the cycle of life and the legacy he hopes to leave behind. At one point, he raps, “Haley Jade, I wrote this song to help you cope with life after I’m gone,” emphasizing the deep personal connection between father and daughter.

Shortly after the video was posted, Hailey Jade shared a photo of her and McClintock holding a sonogram on Instagram, revealing that their baby is due next year. This is the first child for the couple, who have been together since 2016. They got engaged in February 2023 and tied the knot in May of the same year.
Looking back on their wedding, Hailey wrote on Instagram: “Woke wife up this week. We couldn’t have asked for a better and more beautiful weekend celebration. So many happy tears shed, laughter and smiles and so much love felt ”
