Mahayutthi’s rebellion took place even before the Maharashtra Assembly elections. As a result, Chhagan Bhujbal’s nephew and NCP Ajit Pawar Mumbai unit president Sameer Bhujbal has resigned from his post. He has also filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Nandgaon assembly constituency. In fact, given that Mahayuti’s seat is shared, the Nandgaon seat is with Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Shinde has declared sitting MLA Suhas Kande as its candidate for the seat.
In fact, Samir Bhujbal was interested in contesting the elections from Nandgaon assembly constituency and requested a ticket from the party. Demanding this seat for Sameer Bhujbal, NCP workers also announced that they will not provide support to Suhas Kande in Nandgaon. But his views were not listened to and the seat went to Eknath Shinde under the shared formula. Thereafter, Shinde gave his ticket to the party’s sitting MP Suhas Khande.
Apart from this, there is also a tussle between the NCP (Shindh) and the BJP in the Andheri East constituency in Mumbai. Shinde wants the wife of former encounter expert Pradeep Sharma to contest elections from here. But the BJP also wants to contest elections from here. The BJP says Pradeep Sharma, an accused in the Antilia and Mansukh Hiran murder cases, and his wife should not be candidates, in which case the BJP’s candidate People will be better.
Let us tell you that the election dates have been announced in Maharashtra. All 288 seats in the state will go to polls in a phased manner.
