A court has held a woman guilty of murdering her husband in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. Her son was also involved in this crime along with her. Therefore, on Thursday, the court has sentenced the woman and her son to life imprisonment.
This murder was committed by the woman and her son in the year 2019. Government lawyer Vimal Kumar informed PTI that the court of Additional Sessions Judge Vivek Kumar convicted Memwati and her son Jagveer of murder.
According to the public prosecutor, the mother and son have been sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 55,000 for the murder of Tejram. After killing Tejram in 2019, the two cut his body into pieces and threw the corpse in a garbage heap.
The motive behind the murder was to secure a government job for the son, who was hoping to replace his father as a peon in a local government school. The police arrested both the accused immediately after the incident and filed a chargesheet against them.
