Google is illegally dominating 2 markets for online advertising technology: US Judge

A federal judge said on Thursday that Alphabet’s Google illegally dominates two markets for online advertising technology, which is another setback for Tech Titan in a no -confidence case brought by the US.

The ruling by American District Judge Leoni Binkema in Alexandria, Virginia, may allow prosecutors to argue for the breakdown of Google’s advertising products. The US Department of Justice has said that Google should sell at least the Google advertising manager, including the company’s publisher advertising server and its AD Exchange.

Google is now facing the possibility of two separate American courts in 2025, which will order it to sell property or change its business practices, as a judge in Washington will do a test at the request of Doj in April to take other measures to sell Google to sell his chrome browser and to end his dominance in online search.

Google has previously discovered the sale of its advertising exchange to please European antitrust regulators, in September, Reuters reported.

Binkma looked at a three -week testing, where a coalition of DOJ and states demanded to show the Google monopoly markets for publisher advertising servers and advertising nations, and tried to dominate the market for advertising exchanges sitting between buyers and sellers.

Prosecutors stated in the test that Google used the classic monopoly-making strategy to eliminate contestants through acquisitions, to stop customers to use their products and control the transaction in online advertising market.

Google argued the case focused on the past, when the company was still working to enable its equipment to join the products. Google’s lawyer said the prosecutors ignored competition from technology companies including Amazon.com and Comcast as digital advertising expenses shifted to apps and streaming videos.
