Fed up with the teasing of their brother-in-law, two sisters committed suicide in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. The police told this information to a news agency. According to which two sisters allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the river on Monday. The girls’ father has accused his son-in-law of molesting his younger daughters.
Father Suresh Kumar claimed that his 19-year-old daughter Sunita and 17-year-old daughter Punita were being molested by his elder daughter Anita’s husband Ashok Kumar. After which both the daughters left their house on Monday morning saying that they were leaving and would never return.
Dead body taken out from the river with the help of villagers
Giving information regarding the incident, police station in-charge Santosh Kumar Mishra said that both the sisters jumped into the Bisuhi river and later with the help of villagers, their bodies were recovered from the river. Kumar told that he did not take the girls seriously at that time because he thought they were going out to defecate. However, when the girls did not return even after some time, the villagers started searching for them.

During this time they reached near the river, because some villagers had seen both of them going towards the river. The villagers had also informed the police regarding this. Police said that the sisters had tied each other with a cloth.
Police said that Sunita had passed class 12th this year while Punita was a student of class 10th. Police said that on the complaint of the father, a case has been registered against the brother-in-law. The case is being investigated.
