Many times people like to go out and eat street food to change the taste of their mouth. But you will be surprised to know that the food you eat on the roadside has harmful and banned colors added to it.
We are saying this because in the raid of FSDA (Food Safety and Drug Administration) in Lucknow, the capital of UP, banned colors and adulteration were found in Golgappa including Kebab Paratha. After this, a notice has been issued to the food stall owners.
In fact, in Lucknow, FSDA raided roadside food stalls in the area of about five kilometers from Jankipuram and collected many samples through mobile vans.
Adulteration of 10 banned colors was found in these. The special thing is that adulteration of color was found in the water of FSDA Kebab Paratha, Chhola Chutney and even Pani Puri. Although everyone was let off with a warning, notice has been issued to them.
Let us tell you that any consumer can get the product checked for safety through FSDA’s mobile van. According to FSDA officer JP Singh, the vendors were checked through this van and it was found that the food items were adulterated, after which they were released after giving notice.
