Girlfriend murdered when she refused to go to Bangalore, sensational revelation in Uran murder case

Police have made a sensational revelation in the case of murder of a 20-year-old girl in Uran, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The accused is a former acquaintance of the deceased girl. He murdered her because she did not want to go to Bangalore with him. She wanted to get her personal photos deleted from the accused’s mobile. Police arrested 23-year-old accused Dawood Shaikh from Gulbarga, Karnataka on Tuesday morning.

Earlier in the day, a court in Raigarh district sent accused Dawood Shaikh to seven days police custody. Police have filed additional charges against the accused under the SC/ST Atrocities Act. A police officer involved in the investigation said that the accused had gone to Uran from Karnataka on July 23. The next day, he met the victim at Juinagar Railway Station in Navi Mumbai.

According to the police, on July 25 there was a fight between the victim and the accused over photographs. A few days later, the girl had shared the pictures on her social media platform, which the accused deleted. He did not want their relationship to be known. After this the victim asked him to delete all his personal photos, which were present in his mobile. But the accused refused to do so.

Accused Dawood Sheikh asked the girl to come to him in Bangalore, but she refused. Angered by this, he came to Navi Mumbai from Bangalore. He already had a knife. He killed the victim with the same knife and fled from there. The victim’s body was found on the morning of 27 July, after her parents filed a missing report on 25 July. After this the police started investigating this matter.

After the murder, Dawood Shaikh contacted his friend in Bangalore and asked him to transfer money to his account. He withdrew money from an ATM kiosk in Panvel and fled to Karnataka. In the year 2019, the victim’s father had filed a complaint against him for harassing his daughter. At that time, a case was registered against him under relevant sections of the POCSO Act and he was arrested.

After some time he was released on bail. After this he got injured in an accident. Remained lying on the bed for some time. During this time he again established contact with the victim. After recovery he went to Karnataka. There he got the job of a driver. Even during this period, he remained in constant contact with the victim. A police officer said that there is no religious aspect in this case. Police is preparing a strong case.
