The court has pronounced the sentence in a three-year-old case of kidnapping and raping a minor girl in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. The court has convicted the accused person and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of 30 thousand rupees has also been imposed.

According to the prosecution, Ravi Bhardwaj, a native of Chittauni village in the district, was convicted on Friday for raping a minor girl after kidnapping her on June 8, 2021. Additional District Judge (POCSO) Pratham Kant pronounced the sentence.

Let us tell you that in August also, a case of rape of a minor girl was reported in a village under Rasra police station of Ballia. After the rape, the 22-year-old accused also uploaded the video of his misdeed on social media. People came to know about the incident after the video went viral.

Circle Officer (CO) of Rasra Mohammad Fahim Qureshi had said that this incident happened on 6 August. The victim and the accused were from the same village. The victim had gone to another girl’s house in the village for some work, where the accused Kallu was already present. He raped the girl.

He also made a video of this act. He also threatened the victim that if she told anyone about this, he would kill her. Due to this she got scared. Due to fear, the victim did not tell her family members about the incident. But the video went viral.

A sensational rape incident was also reported in July. Here an 8-year-old girl was raped. The perpetrator of this heinous crime was the victim’s neighbor, who was only 13 years old. The accused raped the victim after seeing her alone on the roof.
