The body of a prisoner was found hanging in a yoga hall in Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad. After receiving the report, the police immediately rushed to the scene, collected the body and sent it for autopsy, and began investigating the case. Suspected prisoner committed suicide. It was learned that the deceased inmate was jailed 14 days ago in the POCSO case at Pilkhua police station in Hapur.
The family of the deceased made serious accusations against the director and the Dasna prison administration. The local police have opened a case and launched an investigation. The suicide of an inmate at Dasna Prison, considered a safe prison, has raised many questions about the prison administration. The victim’s family claimed that they gave Rs 5,000 in the name of being counted in the jail. But his count was not deducted.

Apart from this, the victim’s family claimed that Shivam committed suicide after being tortured and injured by the sub-inspector of Chhijarsi post in Pilkhuwa police station area. The family accused the head of Pilkhuwa police station of demanding money.
The police filed a case and started investigation
It is said that there was pressure to settle the case, requiring compensation, but a settlement could not be reached due to non-payment. ACP Siddharth Gautam said the matter is under investigation and further action will be taken accordingly.
