Clash at Ghaziabad court
The dispute between lawyers and the district judge in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad court is intensifying. The incident was condemned by all parties. Lawyers’ groups have criticized police for charging lawyers harshly. The Supreme Court Bar Association and the All India Bar Association, an all-India bar association, condemned the incident and demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter. Meanwhile, a committee of the All Bar Association of Delhi has announced a strike on Monday, November 4.
The committee announced on Sunday, November 3, that the Delhi Bar Association Coordination Committee held an important and urgent meeting on Sunday and unanimously decided that these lawyers will be arrested by the police in Ghaziabad. The district magistrate directed that a strike be held on November 4, strongly condemning the brutal attack on the innocent lawyer.
‘All lawyers in Uttar Pradesh to go on strike’
And all lawyers in Uttar Pradesh will go on strike. No work will be done in any court in the state. During this time, lawyers will also protest the incident. The Balaich case was scheduled to be heard before the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Monday, but the possibility of holding a hearing is also considered less likely due to a strike by lawyers.

In fact, on October 29, District Judge Anil Kumar had an argument with his lawyers while hearing the case in a Ghaziabad court. Lawyers chanted slogans against him due to disagreements with the judge. During this time, lawyers vandalized the court premises by throwing chairs and other objects. Police were called to disperse the protesting lawyers. In order to control the situation, the police brought serious charges against the lawyer.
Some lawyers claimed they were injured by police onslaughts, while police officials claimed protesting lawyers set fire to a local outpost. The Ghaziabad Bar Association has called for the strike to continue until the district magistrate and police responsible for Rati’s charges are handed over.
