Gaur Gopal Das in Aap Ki Adalat: ISKCON monk and motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das openly talked about many aspects of his personal life on Rajat Sharma’s show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. He advises social media makers to “not lose peace and life in the pursuit of success.” In this show, Gaur Gopal Das also talks about many untouched aspects related to his life. He also appealed against atrocities against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh.
Formula a hit on social media
When Rajat Sharma asked him why he is so popular on social media platforms since people spend years making videos without much success, Gaur Gopal Das said, “First of all, being in the right place at the right time. “When we started our social media journey, social media wasn’t that big. There weren’t many social media influencers back then, so social media was much easier to grow than it is today. So it would be very wrong to say that we shot a very large arrow. Right place, right time.
‘The second thing is consistency. Be persistent and keep doing what you love. Consistency You must have seen, we post content on social media, we post content constantly and don’t think that if this topic doesn’t work, we will take another topic. If that doesn’t work, then let’s discuss the third topic. If that doesn’t work, let’s move on to the fourth topic. So how do you become proficient? Where does excellence come from?
“The third thing, authenticity. What happens if we see someone else doing something and start doing the same thing? The worm of comparison has got into our minds. Keep watching others and trying to be like them life. Authenticity is not achieved. Well, there is no copy, no copy. Let me be original. If it becomes like other people, it will be sent to say: become like him. Your fingerprint is the most unique one’s fingerprint. Therefore, if the fingerprint is unique, you should also make your imprint unique. Comparing it with other people’s imprints is a difficult task.
“The fourth thing, don’t chase numbers. The world of social media forces us to just chase numbers. You run after hit, and if there’s a hit, then the numbers will come. Even if you don’t come, you’ve touched someone’s heart, Changed someone’s life For example, if you are a makeup artist and someone is having a lot of trouble with his appearance, he has to go somewhere and from one of your reels he gets a tip and gets selected, Then you made a difference in someone’s life.
Also talks about the dark side of social media
When Rajat Sharma said that many people had to lose their lives in the process of making the scrolls, Das replied, “Bashar Nawaz has a famous couplet, “Bashar, what are you doing under the weight of desire? “I mean you have to be successful, you absolutely have to be successful, but why not? That’s why I think successful social media influencers should talk about the number of people who have lost their lives while making reels. There are a lot of people who fall into depression and say It’s frustrating for them that nothing is happening, and people who are successful in this field have a responsibility to tell the truth.”
Mention a sad event in his life
Gaur Gopal Das narrates a sad incident that happened in his life when his father passed away in 2009. He expressed regret for not apologizing to his father before his death.
“My father was a smoker, so his health was deteriorating. We tried hard to get him to quit, but he couldn’t. Then I adopted the strategy of not talking anymore. Not talking anymore. My father used to come over again and again. Say, son, speak, son, speak, but I often turn my face away. Two years later, my father knelt at my feet and said, son, please stay with me… He cried with me. Many times. Then the mother said, son, he should not do this to the father. Who is the milkmaid? So tell me that day. .Within a week he left home and went to the monastery. Every year I went to the ashram to meet him and every year I thought about when to apologize to my father but I never could. In 2009, I came back from a lecture tour in London and my mother called me at 1:30 in the morning. Needless to say, my father had passed away. I went to see my father. He told me, son, bring me your London lecture. I took the USB drive with my father’s body lying in front of him. I put my head at his feet. Bian said: “Dad, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done this to you. “
This appeal comes in response to events in Bangladesh
Taking note of the oppression of Hindus, including ISKCON devotees, in Bangladesh, Gopal Das called on everyone to speak out against the violence taking place there.
He said: ‘Where is there no conflict? From the smallest house to the nation, the battle is fought. I always say it’s more important to see what’s right and what’s wrong than to get hung up on who’s right and who’s wrong. What we are confused about and what we forget. Wherever there is injustice, it should be spoken out. Is violence right? Is killing right? Is it right to deprive people of their rights? That’s why it’s important to speak out when injustice occurs. I have always said that the world suffers not only from the violence of bad people, but even more from the silence of good people. Good people keep silent. Stand up for what is right and fight for what is right.
