Washington: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother charged in connection with murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui at actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence Wanted for shooting outside, has been arrested in the United States. It is reported that Lawrence’s brother Anmol Bishnoi has been arrested by U.S. law enforcement officials and is currently being held in a prison in Iowa. According to the latest news from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement website, Anmol Bishnoi is being held in a county jail in Iowa. Beyond that, no other details were immediately provided.
Anmore is believed to live in Canada and regularly visits the United States. He is the younger brother of Lawrence, who is accused of running a global criminal ring from prison. Lawrence is currently lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad. Anmol is wanted in several criminal cases, including the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra minister Siddiqui in Mumbai’s Bandra area last month. He was also allegedly involved in the shooting incident outside the home of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in Bandra area on April 14 this year. India has sought Anmol’s extradition.
NIA announces reward of Rs 10 lakh
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of Anmol. Earlier this week, the State Department declined to comment on the possibility of deporting Anmore, saying the matter fell under the jurisdiction of the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.
