Ganesh Vishaljan 2024: The scene of Bapa’s farewell is very charming. On the day of Ganesh Visarjan, devotees bid farewell to Ganpati with singing and dancing and immerse his idol in the holy river. While leaving, Lord Ganesha also fulfills all the wishes of his devotees. But have you ever tried to understand why Ganpati immersion is performed? Why is the idol of Lord Ganesha immersed in water after ten days of worship? Today we will tell you about this matter in detail.

According to mythological beliefs, Shri Veda Vyas narrated the story of Mahabharata to Shri Ganesh from Ganesh Chaturthi for ten consecutive days. After ten days, when Veda Vyas ji opened his eyes, he found that after ten days of effort, Ganesh ji’s temperature had increased a lot. On seeing this, Veda Vyas ji immediately took Ganesh ji to a nearby lake and bathed him with cold water. It is said that this is why Ganesh was installed on Chaturdash to cool him down.

Ganesh Chaturdashi and the glory of immersion
Ganeshotsav begins on the Chaturthi date of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha. Lord Ganesha is worshipped till the Chaturdashi date. The installation of Shri Ganesh idol is done on Chaturthi Tithi and the immersion is done on Chaturdashi Tithi. These nine days are known as Ganesh Navratri. It is believed that by immersing the idol, the Lord reaches Mount Kailash again. The immersion experience is more wonderful than the installation experience. Immeasurable auspicious results are obtained on this day. Hence this day is also known as Anant Chaturdashi.

Be sure to take these special measures when soaking
On Ganesh Visarjan, take a piece of Bhojpatra or yellow paper. You can also use Ashtagandha ink or a new red ink pen. Make a swastika on the top of the Bhojpatra or yellow paper. After that, write “Om Gan Ganpataye Namah” below the swastika. Then write all your questions one by one.

Write your name at the end of the question and then write Ganesh Mantra. At the end, make the sign of the swastika. Fold the paper in half and tie it with the Rakshasa Sutra. Offer it to Lord Ganesha. Dip this paper in water along with the idol of Lord Ganesha. Then you will be free from all your problems.
