Four wedding guests went to the beach to take a bath and were swept away by the waves. Two of them died.

Two of a group of four people who came from Bengaluru to Bijadi village in Kundapura to attend a friend’s wedding drowned on the beach. The incident happened on Saturday while four friends were staying at the seaside resort.

According to police, three of the four friends went to the beach to play in the water when a strong wave hit and dragged two friends, Santhish and Ajay, into deep water.

When Mokshit saw his friends drowning in the waves, he immediately jumped into the water to save them, the news agency reported. Moksh managed to rescue his friend Santish and brought him to the shore. Although Santheesh’s condition worsened and he was rushed to hospital, he died on the way.

At the same time, Ajie’s body was later fished out of the water by the rescue team. A senior police officer said the four friends were staying at a nearby resort and had come to the beach to play. At the time of the incident, there were strong waves on the sea, so the accident occurred.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem and are investigating the matter. Police are warning beachgoers not to go into the sea without taking appropriate safety measures, especially when there is high tide. After the accident, the families and friends of the victims expressed their condolences.
