A truck hit four schoolgirls as they were returning home from school in Prayagraj. One student died in the accident. Four people were riding their bicycles home after graduating from Kashi Prashad International College in Mejja. Then an out-of-control speeding truck traveling from Mirzapur to Prayagraj hit him. As a result, a girl died on the spot.
After the accident, a crowd gathered at the scene and someone set the truck on fire. After a long commotion, the police calmed down the incident. The injured female student has been admitted to the city’s SRN Hospital. where he is receiving treatment.
A female student was allegedly trapped under the truck after the accident. After some efforts, he was rescued. The injured schoolgirl was taken to the SRN Hospital in the area. Angry people staged an agitation over the incident. The angry mob first threw rocks at the truck. The truck was then set on fire. However, the police reached the spot and somehow pacified the villagers.
DCP Yamuna Nagar Vivek Chandra Yadav said that on receiving information about the incident, police and rescue teams rushed there and rushed the injured to the hospital. Some even set fires in anger. The scene was immediately controlled by the police after the incident, and the truck driver was arrested by the police.
