Forget about speaking out in Afghanistan, women can’t even give namaz orders to the Taliban

Islamabad: The Taliban have once again issued strange orders to Afghan women. Now Afghan women will not be able to speak loudly or even pray loudly. Women are prohibited from offering namaz loudly. Afghan women are prohibited from praying in front of other women or reading the Quran aloud, an Afghan minister has said.

The minister said these were new restrictions imposed on women by ethics laws. All women must follow this. Under these laws, women were not allowed to speak loudly or be seen outside the house. On top of this, girls are denied access to education after sixth grade, and women are already excluded from many public spaces and most jobs. Officials from the country’s religious ministry did not confirm Wednesday whether the restrictions would become part of the ethics law.

Reciting “Allahu Akbar” loudly is prohibited.

“It is forbidden for a woman to recite verses of the Quran in the presence of another adult woman,” Religious Minister Khalid Hanafi said at an event in the eastern province of Logar. “Even shouting Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) is not allowed. ” He said that women cannot even give Azan. Audio of Hanafi’s speech was shared on the ministry’s social media platforms but was later deleted. (language)
