Foreign Medical Graduates Examination On July 6, Paper Pattern, Marking Scheme

FMGE June 2024: The Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) June 2024 is scheduled to be held on July 6 at 71 test centres in around 50 cities nationwide. The exam will be conducted in two shifts, the first from 9am to 11.30am and the second from 2pm to 4.30pm, respectively.

Exam Pattern

The exam comprises a single paper with 300 multiple-choice questions, each having four response options in English. Candidates must select the correct or most appropriate answer from the given options.

The question paper for each part of the FMGE will be structured into multiple time-bound sections. For instance, if each part contains three time-bound sections (Section A, B, and C), each section will include 50 questions and have a time allocation of 50 minutes.

The exam is divided into two parts, each containing 150 questions to be completed in 150 minutes. There will be a break between the two parts. Each part is further divided into multiple time-bound sections.

Candidates must complete each section within its allotted time and cannot review or modify their responses once the time for that section has elapsed. The subsequent section will automatically commence after the completion of the previous section’s allotted time.

Candidates have the option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review, allowing them to revisit these questions within a section before the section’s allotted time ends. It’s important to note that questions marked for review will be evaluated based on the provided marking scheme.

To pass, a candidate must score a minimum of 150 out of 300 marks in the examination. Results (Pass/Fail) for eligible candidates will be published on the NBEMS website. There are no provisions for re-totaling, re-evaluation, or the award of grace marks in the FMGE.
