Aeronautical Design Agency (ADA) has designed Tejas. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has manufactured it. Digital Fly by Wire Flight Control Computer (DFCC) has been installed in Tejas MK-1A fighter jet.

DFCC in simple language means removing the manual flight controls from the fighter jet and installing an electronic interface. That is, the computer keeps the plane balanced according to the pilot while flying.

This system controls the radar, elevator, ailerons, flaps and engine electronically. Fly by wire stabilizes the fighter jet. It makes the plane safe.

The advanced version of the aircraft, Tejas Mk-1A, features advanced mission computer, high performance digital flight control computer (DFCC Mk-1A), smart multi-function display (SMFD), advanced electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, advanced self-protection jammer, electronic warfare suite, etc.

Although this fighter jet is similar to Tejas Mk-1, some changes have been made in it. For example, it has a state-of-the-art electronic warfare suite, excellent AESA radar, self-protection jammer, radar warning receiver. Apart from this, ECM pods can also be installed in it from outside.

Speed ​​of 2200 km/hr, combat range of 739 km

Mark-1A is slightly lighter than the previous variant. But it is equally big in size. That is, 43.4 feet in length. 14.5 feet in height. It can fly at a maximum speed of 2200 km/hr. The combat range is 739 kilometers. However, its ferry range is 3000 kilometers.

This aircraft can reach a maximum height of 50 thousand feet. It has a total of 9 hard points. Apart from this, a 23 mm twin-barrel cannon is installed. 9 different rockets, missiles, bombs can be installed in the hard points. Or a combination of these can be used.
