According to police, the horrific incident took place in Ektal village in Konta police station area of ​​Sukma district. The deceased have been identified as Mausam Kanna (34), his wife Mausam Biri, Mausam Buchha (34), his wife Mausam Arjo (32) and another woman Karka Lachhi (43).

The accused in police custody include Savlam Rajesh (21), Savlam Hidma, Karam Satyam (35), Kunjam Mukesh (28) and Podiyam Enka. Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Judicial Code. The police are questioning him.

On September 12, a sensational incident also took place in Chharched village under the jurisdiction of Kasdor police station in Baroda Bazar district of Chhattisgarh. Here, four people from the same family were brutally murdered on suspicion of witchcraft. The dead included two sisters, a brother and a child.

Police said that after preliminary investigation, the murders seemed to be carried out due to witchcraft and superstition. Three accused have been detained in the case. The deceased have been identified as Chaitram, Jamuna Bai Kewat and Yashoda Bai Kewat.

Let us tell you that in July this year, a young man killed his friend by slitting his throat with a sword in Sarumb, Rajasthan, on suspicion of witchcraft. Surprisingly, when the police reached out to arrest him, he also ended his own life. The accused was identified as Fateh Singh.

SP Arshad Ali said that after receiving information about the incident, a police team had arrived to arrest the accused. When the police asked him to surrender, he slit his throat and committed suicide. The deceased was named Shankar Lal Meghwal and was a teacher by profession.
