The laddus given to devotees for prasad at the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh have been proven to contain animal fat, animal fat and fish oil. In fact, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the laddus made for prasad and bhog at the Tirupati temple during the previous government of the YSR Congress Party used animal fat and its fat instead of ghee, hence the sanctity. The faith of the temple has been greatly violated and the people’s faith has been greatly violated.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made these allegations based on a test report released on July 23 after the Lok Sabha elections this year. In this report, samples of laddus used for prasad were examined. It was revealed that the ghee used in these laddus was adulterated and could also contain fish oil, animal fat and lard. Animal fat refers to the fat present in the body of animals. And it was also adulterated with lard. Lard means animal fat and in the same report it was also told that this ghee could also contain fish oil as an ingredient, which is quite surprising.

Let us tell you that Tirupati temple is one of the largest temples in India and is visited by around three crore Hindus every year and all these Hindu devotees are given laddus as prasad. The entire system is run by a committee which is formed every two years by the Andhra Pradesh government. The name of this committee is Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and this committee buys all the raw materials for making Prasad laddus. These laddus are then sold by the volunteers of this committee to the Hindu devotees visiting the Tirupati temple at a pre-determined price.

Even in this case, a small amount of fat reaches the ghee.

The committee alleged that when the YSR Congress party was in power in Andhra Pradesh and the chief minister was Jagan Mohan Reddy, spoiled and adulterated ghee was used in the laddus of the Prasad temple, and the adulteration was huge. However, the report also wrote that if the cows were sick, if the cows were fed vegetable oil and palm oil, if the cows were given chemicals, or if the cows were malnourished, then in such cases, false positive results could appear. This could also happen, and therefore the cows could die. Ghee could contain trace amounts of animal fat and oil.

However, TDP leader AV Reddy also claimed that he bought ghee for just Rs 325 for making Prasad ladus in Tirupati temple when the price of ghee in the market was at least Rs 1,000 per kg and deliberately did not let the laddus in the temple I use adulterated ghee which was cheap.

People can’t believe it

In Hinduism, Prasad itself is considered to be God. Prasad literally means physical darshan of God. It is said in Hindu scriptures that Prasad awakens the feeling of devotion to God and makes one realize the power of God. There is no greater blessing than Prasad. Whenever Prasad is given to people, they pay great attention to purity during this time. Taking Prasad with dirty hands is considered an insult to God. But surprisingly, in this case, there is such a huge adulteration of Prasad itself, a huge betrayal of the people, I am afraid that many people will not believe it.

Tirupati Ladus

YSR Congress says the allegations are baseless

Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are the three states where this prasad is distributed among people in the village or district when people visit the Tirupati temple and bring laddu prasad from there. People in other states also do this. But after this news came to light, there was a lot of anger among the Hindu devotees, with people asking if there was some conspiracy behind this adulteration and how the temple committee didn’t know that the cheap ghee it was buying was, could contain animal fat and its oils? However, the YSR Congress party called these allegations baseless and the former chairman of the temple committee also claimed that the sanctum sanctorum of the Tirupati temple had never used adulterated ghee and it all happened only because of politics.

The temple receives Rs 500 crore in funding every year from laddus.

It is known that the Tirupati temple receives offerings and donations worth about three crores of rupees every year. Of this, about 500 to 600 crores of rupees are earned by selling these laddus as prasad, which are now being accused of adulteration and 500 crores worth of laddus sold as prasad contain animal fat and sugar, which is a big deal. There may be FAT and the previous government will be considered more guilty of this as it received 500 crores of rupees every year from this temple.
