The robbery incident at the ancient Hanuman Tekri temple in Guna dating back to the Mahabharata period has left the police stunned. Where 6 miscreants held the temple’s security guard Shishupal hostage and tied him to a tree with the help of ropes. After this, 2 miscreants entered the sanctum sanctorum. Before entering the sanctum sanctorum, the miscreants bowed to the Lord and then stole the silver necklaces, crowns, maces, umbrellas, bangles and other ornaments adorned on the idols of Hanuman ji and Siddha Baba. The incident is said to have taken place at around 2:56 AM at night.

This robbery incident has been captured in the CCTV installed in the temple. In which it can be seen that a miscreant stole the jewellery after entering the sanctum sanctorum. At the same time, the other miscreant also had a cutter in his hand. With which he was cutting and removing the jewellery. So far, theft has taken place four times in Hanuman Tekri temple. In such a situation, questions have also been raised on the police regarding the security of the temple.

Many big leaders including the President have come to visit

Former President Ram Nath Kovind, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and many other Union Ministers and leaders have reached Hanuman Tekri Temple of Mahabharata period. Jyotiraditya Scindia started his election campaign after offering special prayers at Tekri Sarkar.

More than 12 kg of silver was stolen

Regarding the robbery, the priests of the temple said that Hanuman Tekri temple has been the center of faith of the devotees. But the devotees are angry with this theft incident. 8 silver bangles, 3 necklaces, 2 maces, foot-padukas, 2 umbrellas have been stolen from the idol of Hanuman ji. While the jewelry of Siddha Baba and Devi were also stolen. A total of more than 12 kg of silver jewelry has been stolen.

Police says that the help of dog squad and finger print experts is also being taken in this case. The police team is busy searching the forest behind the temple. Investigation is being done on the basis of CCTV. The accused will be arrested soon.
