First the mother was jailed, then the daughter lost her job… now Pune Police took action against Pooja Khedkar’s father.

In Maharashtra, action has been taken against Pooja Khedkar’s father Dilip Khedkar. A case was registered under sections 186, 504 and 506 of IPC at Bundagarden police station here last night. DCP Smartana Patil gave this information. Actually, a complaint was lodged against Dilip Khedkar by a Tehsildar of Pune Collector Office. In this case, Tehsildar was called by Pune Police yesterday to record his statement. After that, a case was registered against Dilip Khedkar early in the morning.

It is alleged that when Pooja Khedkar had reached Pune Collectorate as a trainee, her father Dilip Khedkar used to come to the Collectorate. He had threatened the Tehsildar and other employees of the Collector’s office to get a separate cabin for Pooja Khedkar. An FIR has been lodged against Dilip Khedkar regarding this matter.

Let us tell you that an FIR was registered against Pooja Khedkar’s mother Manorama Khedkar under sections 323, 504, 506, 143, 144, 147, 148 and 149 as well as the Arms Act. Actually, a video of Manorama had gone viral, in which she was seen waving a pistol.

After this Manorama Khedkar was arrested by Pune Rural Police. She was arrested from Mahad near Raigarh, where she was staying in a hotel. Pooja Khedkar’s mother Manorama Dilip Khedkar was released from Yerwada jail on 3 August. Manorama Khedkar was granted bail by the Pune court on August 2.

After Pooja Khedkar’s mother, now the police has also taken action against her retired father Dilip Khedkar. Dilip Khedkar retired from the post of Director of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) in the year 2020.

After a long controversy, Pooja Khedkar’s candidature was canceled by the Union Public Service Commission. Along with this, UPSC has also blacklisted Pooja, which means that Pooja Khedkar will never be able to appear in the UPSC exam in future. UPSC found him guilty of violating rules, after which this action was taken against him. However, Pooja Khedkar had approached the High Court against the action of UPSC.

On the petition of Pooja Khedkar, Delhi High Court asked UPSC to provide the order to cancel her appointment within 2 days. On this, UPSC’s lawyer said in the court that the order will be sent to Pooja Khedkar on her email ID and her known address within 2 days. At the same time, the High Court allowed Pooja Khedkar to appeal at the appropriate forum.
